Rich Application Interface

With the use of these new rich application interface technologies we are able to give our clients' customers a much more rewarding website experience. AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript And XML) is an example of a RAI that has recently become popular. AJAX technology allows data to be loaded into a web page without the page having to completely refresh. This means that the user experience is no longer impaired by waiting for page-after-page of reloads, so in the case of an ecommerce site for example, customers can change a quantity in their basket and have the basket recalculate without waiting for a reload. The speed and ease of such an operation often results in a much better conversion on the site and a higher incidence of visitors returning to repeat their shopping experience.
