ITV Local - Case Study

Project:

Bespoke camera network including encoders and data infrastructure to film and transmit live daily observations from the nation's key towns and cities - plus live coverage of topical live events such as Cowes Week.

Client Brief:

'We'd like to support our local programmes with live footage from our ITV regions. We need to cover key cities and towns day and night from permanent camera sites - and we'd also like to observe major events as they occur. Our supplier should research our proposed sites, liaise with site owners and deal with all the logistics of fixing, power etc. High quality digital cameras will be required, together with housing - for light control, protection and health and safety. Data from the cameras will need to be encoded and transmitted via fixed or satellite feed back to ITV.
