The Atelier Process
Designing and building beautifully crafted websites that really work for our clients is often a complicated and risky business. In order for these risks to be minimised and for the project to be a success, it must be carefully thought through and meticulously planned.
Central to all of the projects we take on is our project process. This process has been refined, developed and fine tuned over time to ensure that the work we do for our clients runs smoothly and that the end result meets our exacting standards. Like our business and the industry we work in, it is constantly evolving.
The Atelier project process is broken down in to small stages and defined deliverables or, sprints as we call them. By doing so the financial risks, project management, project controls and resourcing exposures are dramatically reduced.
The benefits of our project process:
- Each sprint is distinct and self contained
- Each sprint is costed separately
- Financial exposure is limited to each sprint
- Each sprint logically leads into the next
Our sprints tend to be:
- Sprint 1: Planning
- Sprint 2: Design
- Sprint 3: Templates Development
- Sprint 4: Development
- Sprint 5: Content
- Sprint 6: Testing
- Sprint 7: Infrastructure
These sprints do differ slightly based upon the exact project and a lot of the time, each sprint contains numerous sub-sprints, which you are involved with.
